Your student deserves a seat at the quantum frontier

Quantum computing is set to transform major aspects of finance, cybersecurity, biology, and a host of other fields. And, for today’s high school students, quantum represents possibly the single most significant workforce change since AI.

daeZERO Quantum Computing Program

daeZERO

Where students meet quantum — an intensive, hands-on encounter that ends with a real algorithm running on live IBM hardware.
32 hours · In-person · Open Enrollment in New Haven

What students will make

Design and run quantum circuits using IBM's quantum platform, Quiskit, on actual quantum hardware - the same tools used by quantum engineers.
Master quantum concepts like superposition, entanglement, and quantum measurement — built intuitively, no advanced math required.
Implement real quantum algorithms: Deutsch-Jozsa, Grover’s Search, and more — the foundational building blocks of quantum advantage.
Connect quantum to the real world and explore applications across AI, chemistry, finance and cybersecurity.

The program at a glance

Maximum cohort size of 15 to maximize collaboration and ensure students have access to faculty resources.
No prerequisites - the only requirement is curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Open to high school students across Connecticut.
In-person delivery for engaged, hands-on learning and discovery.
Conveniently located in New Haven to allow maximum access. In-school cohorts available upon request.

daeQUANTA

The full year: from the ground up through three applied domains, ending in a portfolio that stands on its own.
10-months · In-person · Open Enrollment in New Haven

What students will do

daeQUANTA covers everything in daeZERO and far more: quantum principles, Qiskit fluency, and the reasoning behind real algorithms, built from the ground up. daeZERO graduates get an accelerated start.
Build projects across three industry applications, exploring how quantum impacts AI, chemistry, and optimization for finance.
Benchmark their projects against classical baselines and assess where quantum advantage is actually real.
Write, run, and debug projects on real IBM Quantum systems, not simulators. Students learn to read genuine results, noise and all.
Develop the skills necessary to earn the IBM Quantum Fundamentals badge, plus up to four more. Industry credentials that carry weight with colleges and employers

The program at-a-glance

After school for 10 months.
Work across six semesters. Each semester raises the level of independence, from guided builds to questions students frame themselves.
No prerequisites or background in physics necessary, just curiosity and the willingness to explore, build, and grow.
Open to high school students across Connecticut.
In-person delivery for engaged, hands-on learning and discovery.

Who we are and why you should trust us

Six Years of Proven Success

dae is a nonprofit learning studio — not a pilot program, not a summer camp.

For six years we’ve designed, delivered, and proved the efficacy of rigorous tech education for Connecticut’s high school students, building programs in emerging disciplines before the rest of the world catches up.

The daeZERO program is designed and fully delivered by dae, with ongoing support from our partners:

IBM Quantum

Programs run on IBM Quantum hardware and software, and students have the opportunity to earn industry-standard IBM Quantum badges.

QuantumCT

dae is part of the QuantumCT ecosystem, connecting students to the state’s quantum industry as it forms.

Yale University

Our relationship with Yale provides students with opportunities to participate in Yale Quantum Labs events and interact with their students and faculty.
